Fundraising

As you are aware, the Covid-19 pandemic dramatically changed how organisations like ours operated on a day-to-basis. Throughout, we adapted our services so that our counselling sessions could be maintained, ensuring that we could continue to meet the needs of our clients. We recognise that we could not have done this without the support of our dedicated volunteers, supporters and friends of SRCC. Thank you to all of our volunteers, we appreciate all you do.

Our core funding is received from TUSLA, but fundraising in the local community contributes greatly to the roll out and awareness raising of our essential services for people affected by sexual violence in Sligo, Leitrim and Cavan. It has been more challenging for our fundraising volunteers to engage as traditional fundraising activities had to take a back seat. We want to change that, so we are going to make it easier for our faithful supporters to continue to raise funds for SRCC.

Join an event

We aim to run a number of fundraising events each year. We strive to make these events as fun and sociable as possible.

Organise your own event

Why not organise your own event for Sligo Rape Crisis Centre? There are lots of fun ways to do this, maybe your friends, family or work colleagues would like to get on board?

Online raffles, Jukebox shuffles, quizzes or increasing your daily steps are just some of the ways you can raise funds and awareness of the services we provide for survivors of sexual violence in Sligo, Leitrim and Cavan.

If you would like to organise an event, we are happy to provide support, information and leaflets needed for promotion. We welcome all new ideas so if you have an idea you would like to share with us, please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
